In addition to plenary sessions where keynote speakers will address the whole assembly, concurrent sessions will be organised in the following format:
3 paper presentations per session * 20 minutes per paper presentation
Presentations by a team on one specific strand * at least 3 presenters for each symposium
Please submit a symposium title and abstract only at this time. Up to 3 presenters may be included in the submission of abstract page. Please indicate the primary presenter who may also be the chair of the symposium. If the symposium is accepted, additional information regarding titles and abstracts for individual papers and names of additional presenters and/or discussant(s) will be requested via email.

Each paper author/symposium/poster presenter must submit
- An abstract of not more than 200 words (in English only). Include three keywords.
- Submission of proposal and abstract is through the conference website only by Saturday, 31st May 2008.
Conference Proceedings
Presenters may submit their accepted papers for publication in an on-line Conference Proceedings. Proceedings papers are published as received. Papers submitted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings will not be peer-reviewed or edited. Authors are encouraged to have their papers peer-reviewed before submission.
Papers should be prepared according to the publication guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2001) (5th edition) with the following specific format requirements:
- Paper size: A4 Portrait
- Font: Times New Roman 12 point
- Paragraphs: justified with no indentation
- Margins: top, bottom, left, right = 1”, header and footer = 0.5”
- Main Headings for paragraphs: Upper Case and Bold
- Sub-Headings: Lower Case and Bold
- Line spacing: 1.5 for paragraphs and single spacing for tables
- Length of paper (abstract and references included) should be about 3000 words (single line spacing).
- All references should be listed alphabetically.
Please email your paper in PDF file format to the conference secretariat (apera08@nie.edu.sg) by 31st October 2008. Name your file according to the last name and initials of the first author (e.g., TangKT.pdf; WongAP.pdf; ShermanRQ.pdf).
